Creating a painting is a journey into mystery. The painting process is about following my intuition and letting the painting go where it wants to go. I take daily walks out in nature, hiking through the woods, marsh, ocean or bay side beaches. The changing of the seasons from the greys of winter to the garish bright colors of spring, continuing with the stunning lush greens of summer, into the Spectacular light in the fall are all in the paintings.
Color is emotive and the colors play off each other like musical notes. When the combination isn’t right it is off key. It is a dance until the painting feels finished.
