Pete Hocking “Dune Tour with George and Phil” 24 x 48 inches, oil on linen

“The heat of the summer sun and the bite of January’s wind call us to attention. I’m convinced this place awakens us to our deepest longing, to a yearning to connect with others and the world. When I listen to its whispers, I’m prompted to take action. And I’m called to share what I witness.”

Suzette Lebenzon “Carnival of Fishes”,  diptych, 40x60 total (each panel 40x30), acrylic and mirrored ink

“Over the past year, I have continued on my painting journey, allowing myself complete license to create the images that interest me and evolve through my process. Exploring reflective water surfaces and their surrounds has expanded to depicting my fantasy as to what could lie beneath. These are visual poems, expressing my wishes, feelings, and experiences with Cape Cod and the ocean. In the underwater scenes, I see schools of fish and creatures emerge from the abyss, as I carve them out by painting the negative space of the water. They are there, I have to find them with my brush. Color is my love language. Fully aware the marine life is not this vibrant here, I disregard this. MIne is a celebration of how magnificent our waters make me feel, not a biological depiction.”
